This video show be required viewing every morning.  If it doesn’t get you going, then I don’t know what will.

If you really think about it, what is truly holding you back besides yourself?  Sometime we create artificial obstacles or set limits on ourselves and we stop pursing our goal.  We repeat those things to ourselves so much, that we even believe them to facts or truths.

But all it takes is for you to tweak just one thing, ask one  question, or take one minutely small step.   Yesterday I started my diet program and committed to writing a blog.  I wanted to quit and go back to the things I used to do, but I wondered . .

. . if not now, when?  If I don’t do it, who will? Do I want things to remain the same?

So start now, right now.

  1. Make a list of the things you’ve always wanted to  do
  2. Pick the thing you’ve always wanted to do the most or one that will impact your the most
  3. List all the steps or things you need to do
  4. Break it down into small tasks
  5. Get started!

It is that easy and that simple. Don’t try over-complicate things and just do it. One task at a time, one day at a time.  Your daily actions will build momentum and confidence.

I’ve been searching for ways to motivate myself and experimenting with different techniques to get my lazy ass going, only to find myself on the couch watching TV.  Goal setting, mind moves, affirmations . . . you name it, I’ve tried it.

I was recently inspired by Benny’s blog post at FluentIn3Months.com where he recommended to start a blog to help with motivation and accomplish your goals.  Benny was also inspired by Sean Ogle to start a blog for motivation.  You can read Sean’s original post here.  Sean also provides additional tips on bucket list management and suggested that the best projects to start on you bucket lists are the ones with the most beneficial long term impact.

So without further delay, below are the items I am currently working on.

#3. Build a thriving business – This would be the foundation for all the travel goals and other financial related goals.

#4. Get abs – This probably has one of  the greatest impact and benefits.  Though it may be vain in nature, the actions required to complete this mission will improve my overall health and allow me to do other things.

#12.  A year of gratitude -My goal is to send one thank youcard or letter per week. Since this has a definite time frame, I might as well start it now.

#50. Grown beard & mustache – This one was just to easy not to start. I’ve always worked in sales positions or had responsibilities where I felt a more clean cut image was required.  But felt I now is just as good as any other time. So why not.

#66. Do my best /100% effort for 30 days – I plan to banish the TV, no procrastination, and blog everyday.

There you have it.  Wish me luck!
